The other piece that tips me over is the overhwhelming support from the Company... getting a new scenario for LNOE takes forever... yet Zombicide is pumping em out like rabbits.... keeps the game from getting stale...
I've consistently heard from reviewers that the missions which come with the base game of Zombicide are a mixed bag; some are solid, while others are weak or even broken, almost as if they were added as an afterthought without being properly play-tested and developed. That being the case, it is fitting and proper for Guillotine Games to release freebie web-missions (sixteen of them, as of this posting). Hopefully these missions are of a consistently good quality. Can anyone here vouch for some or even all of them?
For Last Night on Earth, I've collected twenty-one scenarios so far, including those from the base game, expansions, supplements, and web-freebies (the only ones I don't have are those included in the Timber Peak stand-alone expansion). Our group hasn't deemed any of these scenarios to be broken. Additionally, some of the expansions come with "Scenario Special Rules" which can optionally be applied to any expansions in nigh endless combinations (e.g., I recently posted a thread titled Making LNoE more like Zombicide).
Having said all of that, I really would like to get Zombicide, but I'm holding out for a 2nd./Revised/Deluxe edition with a better rule-book (another common complaint), missions that have been fine-tuned and polished, and hopefully a character expansion which would include all of that promo goodness.
