I only just got the game and haven't played it yet... but I tossed all the minis in the smaller of the two boxes (the one survivors came in), then put the insert that the cards came in into that small box. The result is that the box is packed with minis enough that they won't shift around so I'm not worried about little bits breaking.I'll likely bag the cards in a small ziplock once i actually open them up.
