The tiles are metric, it being a French game, so they're 25cm square.And the most accurate answer to your spaces question would be 2x2, but that would be very misleading.
The tiles are not divided up like that.
Easiest thing would be for you to download the PDF rulebook and look at how the tiles are laid out, and how the zones work and are demarcated, in that.
