Sorry - have to disagree. The actions list AND the summary both make it clear that getting out costs an action. Looking at the cars section, the focus on "getting in" is there because of the extra rules to do with getting in (which seat, and being full). Because there are no extra rules to do with getting out of a car, it wasn't felt necessary to repeat the global rule.

Cars can be pretty overpowered, once you get the hang of them. And in reality, someone carrying two pistols, a chainsaw, a bag of rice and a pan, is going to need at least as long to gather his possessions and get out, as it took him to get in. Getting in, you can chuck and leap on top - getting out, you need time to unload and pick it all up.

Can't see any justification for getting out taking zero actions, sorry!
